We don't get emotionally caught up in much because punx, but this trailer for the documentary Petey & Ginger: A Testament to the Awesomeness of Mankind has gotten us feeling all kinds of feels. The documentary is a new effort from filmmaker Ada Bligaard Søby and it is being described as “a celebration of survival, music, companionship and chaos.” It follows two characters, Petey [Dammit of Thee Oh Sees], who works overnight at a pornography distributor, and Ginger, who works the late-night shift at a bar as a fortune-teller. The path they take mimics the cultural shift after the collapse of the economy. The movie aims to document the lives of those who were left behind.

It looks like a beautifully shot, tragic vision into two heartbreaking lives. The doc features music from Thee Oh Sees and will premiere at San Francisco's DocFest on June 10. Watch the trailer below.
