Trans Am are becoming more like their namesake with every passing year.
When they first came out, they were innovative and "cool" to everyone who "understood that type of music." Then, as experimental and independent rock progressed, Trans Am remained consistent, but drew less attention than their flashier contemporaries. Now, after a nearly 15 years, and a 2-year hiatus, they're back with Thing, and "cool" once again; with the added bonus of vintage appeal, so everyone who "understood" them back in the day, can now brag to the younger generation about the first time they gave Trans Am a spin.
