Williamsburg Waterfront Concerts make me weep tears of joy

A few tears were shed when word came that 2009 would not see any shows at that big hunk o' crumbling bricks known as McCarren Pool. I wondered to myself, "where will I bake in the summer sun, and see my favorite bands for free this summer?"

Then comes news about a series of shows that will take place on the Williamsburg Waterfront, and suddenly, the idea of seeing shows as the sun sets over the East River seems a whole lot better than a cruddy old pool.

Sunday, July 19 — Dirty Projectors, Magnolia Electric Co., White Denim*
