Woods' new single "Find Them Empty"

By Jeremy Krinsley » Righteous and groovy as always, but this time also gnarly.

Lil' Caleb and the green monster.

A truly gnarly, detuned guitar tantrum transforms the otherwise classically pastoral Woods tune into a angsty, unsettled romp halfway between ballad and a busted nut -- the tune never quite blows its load, containing the trebly riff ballast with intermittent moments of total peace and harmony.

Righteous:

"Find Them Empty" was recorded this past winter at Buttermilk Falls in Warwick, NY as a "companion piece" to their full length Sun and Shade, which they released about a week ago on Woodsist. Amusingly, the cover art for this single features Sacred Bones labelhead Caleb Braaten as a young boy, next to this father and a huge weed plant.
