Post Author: Meredith Schneider
On November 4th, UK pop/rock collective Deaf Havana launched their album pre-order and released three new tracks from their upcoming record All These Countless Nights, which drops January 27th. The three singles – “Cassiopeia”, “Sing”, and “Trigger” – give us a substantial introduction to the album, which is sure to blow us all away. The vocals are absolutely stunning, evoking intense emotion with each line. The instrumentals have been worked to perfection, and we’re so, so thrilled to share these three tracks – and an exclusive background story for each one – right now.

Cassiopeia:
I wrote this song whilst on holiday in Colombia, I hadn’t written a song for at least a year and a half beforehand. It’s a story about a bizarre evening I spent in Berlin and how the city captivates you in the hours post midnight. I left a small part of my soul there I think haha.

Sing:
This song is pretty simplistic lyrically. It basically just sums up a pretty low period we spent as a band, where we weren’t really sure if we wanted to keep going, yet how glad we are that we did. We recorded it at air studios in London with our good friend and the genius, Adam Noble.

Trigger:
Trigger is a really old song, I wrote and recorded a terrible quality demo of this song about 4 years ago and kind of forgot about it then when writing for the new record I thought that it would fit perfectly so decided to re record it and it turned out to be the main single. It’s about a previous relationship I had, the two of us were fairly mutually bored of each other yet almost too lazy to do anything about it. The lyrics basically just sum up that period and how in my head I knew that it wouldn’t end well.
All These Countless Nights is available for preorder now. Keep up with Deaf Havana here.
