Thanks to XXJFG for introducing me to a track that was released sometime last year by a minimal electro duo that spent about four minutes on their MySpace page and have less Google-able information than my mom. (Enjoy the vinyl crackle of 20 Jazz Funk Great’s record player transferring it all for us into sublime digital). While AwM have heavy Chicago boom bapisms tailored to the cerebral restraint appropriate to their sci-fi moniker, I can’t help hearing the vocalizations in the refrain to Kid Sister’s “Control” all over their drum beat:
