Ludacris & DJ Premier

Ludacris seems to be living by the age old proverb “It’s not what you know, its who you roll out with.”

Barack Obama, Ludacris, Theatre of the Mind

Ludacris has managed to recapture my eyes and ears as of late with a roll in the latest Guy Ritchie film Rock n Rolla and a Premier beat on his new album Theatre of the Mind. In fact, I think the last time I enjoyed a Ludacris song was coincidentally the last time I enjoyed a Guy Ritchie movie.

Without further delay, we give you an awful rip of “M.V.P.”

Ludacris, “M.V.P.”

It baffles me that this collaboration took this long. When will rappers start respecting the beauty of rapping over Premier’s signature strings. It should be a rite of passage that you haven’t made it until you’ve had your curse words replaced with the same lasers that cleaned up Guru and Jeru Da Damaja’s potty mouths.

Luda is currently on the promotion circuit. Check him out at the Cleveland Cavaliers game:

Meanwhile, my Sacramento Kings are making my ears bleed by letting Rev Theory”s “Hell Yeah” dominate its starting lineup announcement music. Goddamnit.

Rev Theory, Sacramento Kings= F.A.I.L.
