Moors remixes ALA.NI's "Cherry Blossom"

In between acting on the critically acclaimed Atlanta and other placements, actor Keith Stanfield teams with host of the Song Exploder podcast Hrishikesh Hirway as Moors, a hip-hop/electro-leaning music duo.  Moors decided to “explode” a song for UK singer ALA.NI, remixing her “Cherry Blossom” record with a hip-hop twist. The original track delivers unmistakable classic jazz vibes. The 3-minute work is bereft of instrumentation, strictly showcasing her angelic, slightly mournful vocals.
Though “Cherry Blossom” works in its original form, the Moors remix gives the song an updated feel, with delicate synths and pitter-pattering percussion. ALA.NI’s vocals get split in half, with an expository Stanfield verse in between. He augments ALA.NI’s story with a love narrative of his own. You can stream the “Cherry Blossom” remix below.
