Tempest le Mans, “Paul’s Song”

Post Author:

Nathan Castiel is the man behind Tempest le Mans, along with lead guitarist Jeremy McLannan, bassist Marcus Högsta, and drummer Paul Carter. Even though they are now based in Los Angeles, Castiel grew up in suburbia of San Fernando Valley, which he often sings about in his music. His ideas often come from grade school drawings and current relationships “set upon the backdrop of adolescence.” His latest offering is no exception.

Tempest le Mans has just released a new track, and it’s called “Paul’s Song”. This song follows the story of a guy who has a crush on a girl, they make out and he asked her out but she rejects him. She moves away but comes back to visit, but she doesn’t tell him she was in town so he didn’t find out until after she left again. The lyrics are honest, as he sings “she said to stop acting like a child” and “can’t you see that I’m just not the one?” The guy is left to wonder, “How could i be such a fool again?” This is a fun song with a fun story that everyone can certainly empathize with.

We’ve all been there, man.
