El Silver Cabs releases their self-titled cassette tomorrow, June 24 from King Pizza Records and give the following first listen. The band busts out all the DIY fun & fuss with rippers like “Figurines”, to righteous rockers like “Shrink”, the emotive energy of “Bloom”, to memorable riff riders like “Treading Water” will captivate your full attention. The band keeps that personal touch rolling with a little twang on the indecisive & ambivalent stroller “Wouldn’t You Rather”, the southwest style “Gun” for hire, right before the incredible anthem ballad of “Pretty Lady” breaks out, while “Weekend” coasts out with chords of care, commitment & affection (even for that significant other that is gone but for a fortnight).
El Silver Cabs’ own Jacob Backer offered up the following introductory preface to feast upon:

After a string of self-released EPs, El Silver Cabs is releasing their full length self-titled debut on King Pizza Records. Indebted to the roar of 90s guitar rock, the band’s debut is full of catchy, smashy songs about panic attacks, supernatural girlfriends and the importance of coffee. You can catch the album release show this Saturday, June 24th at El Cortez in Bushwick as part of Pizza Fest.
