Mutters and shouts of "Brooklyn wins!" may or may not have been unduly influenced by the turf. We're calling it a draw. The 1896, as the venue in Bushwick's dubbed, could've been used to shoot Go or any number of heart-stopping 90s movies about raves, and packed hundreds if not over a thousand bodies for Dan Deacon's last performance without a full band, a preview of These Are Powers' new material, USAISAMONSTER as a four-piece, Vivian Girls subbing for Blank Dogs, and you know, lots of people jumping off speakers.
