Future Islands + Graffiti Monsters at Market Hotel
» Paper Route is a Brooklyn-based group that "fosters the relationship between the DIY punk musician and the self-made comic book and zine artist." Last week, that meant a whole bunch of thoughtful, pocket-sized zines traded, sold and thumbed at the merch table. In the next room, Future Islands' did their Orange Juice for the DIY set, melting the audience into a boiling, emotional soup with their perfectly calibrated, hand-wrung pop tunes. With Graffiti Monsters, Lonnie Walker, Darlings and Effing.
