Outside of Don Pedro's bar, between the hours of 10pm and 4am on a cold day at the end of October inside the Colt 45-paid-for stretch SUV limo, an editor for Impose attacked the free mini bar with some strangers.
"In a band, called Harlem," said one of them, between droughts of Margarita glasses rung with cocaine.
"Harlem?" asked the editor, after a double-fisted quadruple shot of Patron. "You guys are a buzz band."
This was true between the hours of 10pm and 4am on October 25, 2009.
"A buzz band," repeated the buzzed dude.
Perhaps the Austin dudes are still a buzz band, who knows. We like their scruffy, jangly tunes. And last night, the dudes kept it real, in a "blizzard," no less.
