Hysterics, Exit Order, In School and more at The Place

On Friday May 2nd, Greenpoint's The Place hosted the triumphant return of three bands to NYC, two on tour, and another from a long hiatus. Olympia's Hysterics stopped by Brooklyn for the first time in a year to play two shows before embarking on their extended European tour in support of their newest EP, Can't I Live? Also returning to Brooklyn was Boston's Exit Order whose 2013 demo tears through your eardrums with energy and violence and lead singer Anna's amazing presence (that last demo came out nearly a year ago, so here's hoping we get new material soon). In School returned to performing after nearly a year off, supporting their debut EP Praxis of Hate (check out the lead song, “Conquest.” It's a MONSTER!). From Philly came the weird violence of New Crime whose music inspired some of the more violent actions among the crowd. Opening the night was Fever Dream who was argle bargle awesome. You can check out Fever Dream's demo here but we understand that a 7″ is coming out soon. Don't sleep on Fever Dream.

We get in pits so you don't have to.
