Lionshare + Grab the Bat Killer at Death by Audio
» Lionshare gave a relatively rare live performance last week at Death by Audio with support from Olympia's gothy synth project Grab the Bat Killer. While one's gut reaction to a bunch of white dudes in goofy sunglasses swigging bottles of liquor and doing hip hop is an eye roll and a quick trip to the back for a piss or a beer, Lionshare's recorded output features consistent production that takes as much from Spank Rock's Miami Bass revival wagon as it does from sample-based jams alla Madlib. And their verses flow smooth as chilled vodka.
