The Rock Steady Crew turned 37 years old this year and celebrated with a free concert in Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield in New York, NY on Sunday, July 27 as a part of the Summerstage concert series. Like last year, the show featured performances from legendary and new hip hop performers over the course of four hours such as MyVerse, Chris Rivers (the son of Big Pun), Thirstin Howl III, Smoothe Da Hustler with Trigger Tha Gambler, Large Professor, Das EFX, DJ Red Alert & DJ Jazzy Jay, M.O.P., Rahzel, Keith Murray, Slick Rick, and Onyx. The event was hosted by End of the Weak and ended with a dance performance by The Rock Steady Crew. Crazy Legs, one of the original members of The Rock Steady Crew, announced that his hip hop related memorabilia will be archived at Cornell University.

How much jewelry can one man wear? If the person in question is Slick Rick, the answer is a whole lot.
