The Fugue at Silent Barn

Apart from the fact that there seems to be an arm growing from that man’s head, this singerdude wins for drunkest man I’ve ever seen, as well as best normal to werewolf in 60 seconds. (Exhibit B, his mild mannered self prior to ‘explosive’ set:)

Though my expert friend assured this wasn’t their best gig to date, The Fugue killed it (/my ears). The two black lipsy guitar dudes, (cigarettes drooping in mouths and matching black rim glasses, neither prop evident in exhibit C), had this diabolical twin attack with metally hardcore riffs that were best when played in unison. Raw.

That little whiteblue sticker on the back guitar is for securing White Castle hamburger boxes. Also, the drum sticks bursting in air.

While The Fugue has extended their sets from the ten minute stuff they used to pull, they’re still pretty short, and singerman gets the award for werewolf back to genial dude in 60 seconds as well.

After that, Todd P played an iPod set for like an hour. I’m very happy that Hey Ya and Blondie are allowed on the dance floor. How was everyone dancing at this party, in Bushwick? Closing with ‘Born in the USA’, Todd demanded an after party, which turned out to be my house down the street. He bought more beer. I dropped one on the sidewalk for good measure. An acoustic guitar emerged and, my record player broken, four of us ended up serenading the rest in turn. Pretty gay/awesome.
