Shaun Escoffery, Evergreen

Post Author: Meredith Schneider

London’s Shaun Escoffery is delivering intense, smooth vocals in a tender, pop/r&b instrumental atmosphere at the highest of frequencies right now. His new album, Evergreen, is expected out on September 2nd on Dome/Mvka. We got a first listen, and we’re highly impressed.

Evergreen is comprised of 13 tracks, all produced to perfection. “Healing Me” is the first track, an ode to selfless love. The wonderfully talented Joss Stone joins him on “Evergreen”, a song with a much more moody, funky vibe to it. (But what else would you expect from Joss?) “Love Shine Down” is a testament to the way that someone can be affected by love. In fact, the majority of the album has been crafted in honor of the ins and outs of love, allowing the art – largely – to be heartwarming and uplifting.

“Here Comes The Rain Again” is another standout track, giving breath to the emotions of wanting someone. Andreya Triana’s vocals on the track enhance its sultry vibes, and we’ve got this one on repeat, specifically.

“When The Love Is Gone” is the first single off the highly anticipated album, and has already enjoyed heavy rotation on the BBC Radio 2 playlist becoming his 5th consecutive A-listed song on Radio 2. Check out a peak into the what’s to come below.

Evergreen is out September 2nd.
