Alexander Lynch, “The Judge”

Sophie Kemp

Alexander Lynch‘s video for his song “The Judge,” is a stylized, cinematic entry point into the artist’s equally cinematic, electro pop inspired music. The video shows several groups of people: there’s a bible group, two women wearing ’70s style outfits, a ballerina and an injured man with a daughter.

“The Judge” sets out to “showcase different modern perspectives in a vignette-like setting.” Ultimately this goal is a success, the video is transporting and thought provoking. It’s four and a half minutes long but feels like we are watching a feature length film, the video has character development and a real plot. When set to Lynch‘s throbbing electronic, “The Judge,” is the perfect soundtrack to the movie it is envisaging.

Keep up with Alexander Lynch here.
