Allen Clapp, “Seasons 5 & 6 (Part One)”

Post Author: Michael Brummett

Piano-heavy and ambient electronic attraction keeps “Seasons 5 & 6 (Part One)” of Allen Clapp in the light, marking a departure from his typical pop stylings. This San Francisco, psychedelic pop exploration takes influences in the form of the Stranger Things soundtrack, tying sparse visual elements into a cohesive production.

Taking form as a ‘story of the temporal’ in relation to humanity, the shifting atmosphere in the track is fairly colorful. Having toured with the likes of The Shins and The B52’s, Clapp originally had been playing and producing music with The Orange Peels beginning in 1997.

“Seasons 5 & 6 (Part One)” is taken off Clapp’s EP, Six Seasons, which is available now.
