Chelsea Wolfe, "Sunstorm" Video by Terroreyes.tv

Chelsea Wolfe is known for what we like to call doom folk, but on "Sunstorm" she abandons all pre-conceptions for a repetitious piano track that details the unfortunate events leading up to a friend's suicide. The unreleased track delves into the doomed, but she juxtaposes her regrets against the the inherent shimmer of the keys. We are not used to being down about the alto ivories, but Chelsea's lyrics suggest that her November birthday is shared with a bittersweet anniversary.

There are plenty of suicide hotlines and websites out there, as well as sunny days to admire. Help a friend. Help yourself.
