Debut: Paula, "Lover Boy" Video by Jasper Baydala

This video comes to us via Arbutus Records, releasers of Tonstartssbandht and Grimes, and it's got some kool kalifornian flavor. The dark disco feels specifically Ariel Pink-inflected, but that doesn't keep us from liking it. The pop is much smoother and less jagged than The Pinkster, and one could easily see oneself listing to one side on clean MDMA in a dark pleather booth in the backside of Los Angeles, listening and nodding.
