Freja Frances, “Porcelain Doll”

Post Author: Meredith Schneider

London’s best kept secret may be wiggling her way into the hearts of many internationally, especially with the coming of her new double a-side single this week. Singer/songwriter Freja Frances knows how to weave a narrative, and does so in the most intricate and delicate way we have seen in a while. Part of her new release is a song called “Porcelain Doll”, and we have the exclusive premiere of the official music video for your to enjoy days before the release.

The video itself is simple, its subject a young ballerina doing phenomenal work against a black backdrop. The contrast in colors is art enough, but the dancing is stunning. The blending of Freja’s gorgeous vocals – and lyrics like “I don’t trust anyone… But don’t think I’ve given in/Cuz I don’t think I ever could/Everyone draws different lines between bad and good” – and the beautiful dancing – later joined by a male counterpart wearing black – is absolutely mesmerizing.

Porcelain Doll/Breathe is available on November 4th via ShimmerSun Music. Keep up with Freja here.
