The summer months are prime time for outdoor weddings and smooth, evocative, Hip-Hop fit for family cookouts. Brooklyn duo I$O Indies decided to lump both together with their moving ”Love Is In The Air” visual.

The video, crafted by aIP, Chimp Filmworks, and Kota The Friend, is curated from actual footage of the June 26th wedding of I$O member Ant, bka as ConchezYout, to his fiance Pae. In such a tumultuous time, it’s refreshing to see Black faces smiling and invested in a joyous occasion. The video is a clever mix of standard footage and a home video filter spliced in for a clever sentimental flourish.

Both members are honest and reflective about the value of their respective relationships. The title couldn’t have been more true–that said, the duo doesn’t slack up on the bars. They augmented the video with the mix of intricate lyricism, humor, and empowering ethos that belies their status as burgeoning mainstays of the Brooklyn underground scene.

I can be an asshole but we gotta make it last though, she come knockin’ at the door every time I’m in the bathroom,” ConchezYout laments. Despite the small annoyances he sees the big picture, spitting, “I let my heart pour for you, cause that’s what men supposed to do, you lift your queen high, ridin’ with your ride-or-dies.”
