N-A-I-V-E-S, "Crystal Clear"

With a new year comes new music, and unlike the crappy January-February movie season, the music scene is miles ahead so far. Case in point — “Crystal Clear” by N-A-I-V-E-S, the alt-pop duo from London.
Is it too early to already have a favorite single for the year? The single and the video are equally vibrant in colors and lyrics. Erupting volcanoes and lava-laden hills populate the rest of the video to emphasize the repetitive nature of this psychedelic tune, but every repeated lyric, phrase, or beat never hinders it. The repetitions feel more like waves, starting off slow and eventually speeding up until you’re drowning in a kaleidoscope of colors.
“Crystal Clear” comes ahead of the duo’s debut self-titled album, out January 27. Previous N-A-I-V-E-S singles include “Fashion Pineapple” and “W.I.G.O,” which have garnered numerous radio play from BBC London and Amazing Radio.
