Premiere: Iroquois Falls, "Hey Annie (Twice Born Once From a Gun)" Video by Iroquois Falls
Iroquois Falls is apparently one woman who bangs and huffs and breathes and yells her way through her performances, which apparently are something to behold, but instead of using live footage for a video she has decided to assembled this tumultuous blend of superimposed film imagery. The song is the first single from an EP coming out in March called Twice-Born-Once-From-a-Gun, and you can feel the fire burning within the track. The recording might have benefitted from a higher fidelity, and Iroquois Falls might be trying to avoid Merrill Garbus comparisons by not showing us what must be a multi-instrumental live show, but all-in-all, it's an interesting debut from the Toronto act.
