Raleigh Moncrief, "Don't Shoot" Video by Miko Revereza

Raleigh Moncrief's restless video for "Don't Shoot" is from last years Watered Lawn, released by Anticon Records. In washed out primary colors, the video for "Don't Shoot" contrasts jumpy footage of low-flying planes with summery scenes of a women lounging in a field, twirling flowers, and wistfully  watching the aircrafts above. Moncreif's crooning vocals mingle with the choppy and melodic beats, reminicient of many of the sounds from Dirty Projector's 2009 Bitte Orca, which Moncrief produced. Taunting the chance of escape to a new place – if you could just make it on to one of those slow moving aircrafts! – "Don't Shoot" is a much lighter and more etheral song than the manic "Lament for Morning", also from Watered Lawn.
