Robust, "Soloist" Video by Albert Downing

On "Soloist" Robust breaks down the creative process with "I found a dope loop then I added a break / it ain't always that easy but sometimes that's all that it takes."  To some extent it associates Robust with the old school/true school heads still intent on digging through dusty wax, putting their lungs at risk. "Soloist" itself sounds like its from another era - when's the last time you heard a rap track with sleigh bells - but its the most celebrated era of the genre, so when done right it's never out of style. Robust does right by the break culture and we expect it to continue with his Filling In The Potholes record on Galapagos 4.
