Sadistik’s latest video for his song “Kaleidoscope” is a mesmerizing piece of art. “Kaleidoscope” the song is the type of tune we’ve come to expect from Sadistik – tight and creative lyrics set against a hypnotic baseline. The video, however, will grab your attention, even if the sound isn’t on.
Sadistik took over 6000 photos to prep for this. In fact, he expands, “I went out with my director/photographer friend to Venice beach for the day & he followed me around taking photos constantly. It ended up being over 6,000 of them that were used in the video (I can get the exact number). We just aligned the thousands of them in order to get that stop-motion effect.” The result is a striking piece of film that looks as if you might imagine being in a kaleidoscope with the fragmented pieces of color all around. Although only 2:34 long, it’s impactful and will definitely necessitate a second (or third) viewing.
Keep up with Sadistik here.
