Shakes is a psych pop act from New Zealand that makes music that feels both nostalgic for the ’70s and way far into the future. In the band’s new video for their song “Waiting On A Feeling,” we enter a fantastical future world where everyone is almost totally void of emotions and it is up to two groups of people to make people feel again.
The video takes place in backyards, deserts and in the forest, featuring a cast of devils, suburbanites dressed in all white and people wearing futuristic bright pink and gold. “Waiting On A Feeling” is a cinematic song with an equally cinematic video. It’s super groovy psych pop, full of noise distorted guitar and dynamic vocal arrangements.
