TW Walsh, “Young Rebels”

Post Author: Meredith Schneider

TW Walsh hadn’t released any new music since 2011, due in part to being diagnosed with a debilitating illness and spending time learning about eastern mysticism. As a direct result, he started to blend classic production techniques in with modern style. From that, he bred Fruitless Research in February and he really hasn’t looked back. Today, we have the premiere of his music video for the track “Young Rebels”.

They hooked us with the dancing font from the very beginning, and the high production value is duly noted. But when an infatuated teenaged boy is lip syncing to it, we laugh at the idea that TW Walsh’s voice could come out of that face. It gives us a throwback vibe to our days at the roller rink, which has certainly been a staple in every child’s life since the 70’s brought that disco fever into our lives. We’re having flashbacks to feverish crushes, neon signs, and nights out with friends.

TW Walsh, thank you. This is absolutely genius.

Fruitless Research is out now via Graveface Records.
