The sophomore single from Belgian singer/songwriter Ivy Mode, “Body Next To You,” is four minutes full of soul and longing. With a slow, R&B-like tempo, and Ivy’s husky vocals, the single is a solid return after the singer’s much praised “Money Can’t Buy” from last fall.
“Body Next To You” released Valentine’s Day, but you can listen to it here. It definitely fits into that Valentine’s Day vibe, with bold sensual lyrics and a teasing quality Ivy’s vocals. But the single has a sound alternative/pop fans can get behind, and keep coming back for more.
