Smoke Season Shares The First 2 Works In Video Series

Mix psychedelic Americana with electro-soul, and what do you get? Smoke Season. If you’ve never heard of them, listen to them right now because they are awesome. Made up of NYC raised Gabrielle Wortman and Jason Rosen, this LA Based duo has a sound that stems from what they call “east coast heads and west coast hearts.”

The band recently released a new EP, titled Ouroboros. They also created a music video series to accompany the EP. The first video in that series is “Loose”. The video starts off in a classroom, and a girl is sharing part of her research (which I actually learned a lot during it). She and another girl are making eyes at each other during the presentation, and the two girls go and adventure out in nature, as well as on rooftops on the town. They share a kiss, and “it’s only love again.” They go to a party and girl number 2 is kissing another guy. Copious amounts of liquid courage later, girl number 1 comes back and kisses her love. Except she’s rejected. She goes on to the roof where they first kiss, turns around, and lets herself fall, because nothing hurts quite like a broken heart does. This video is beautiful with a heartbreaking story that everyone should definitely take the time to watch.

The second installment of the music video series is also out, and it’s called “When The Smoke Clears”. You can view that amazing piece of art below.
