Introducing Stones Throw‘s latest signing Stimulator Jones who is readying a full-length for 2018 & presents a listen to the future funk steeped single “Need Your Body”. The Roanoke, Virginia artist was discovered by Peanut Butter Wolf upon hearing the jam “Soon Never Comes” found off the Sofie’s SOS Tape compilation where vintage 90s cadences & pop craft could be heard hurdling ahead to the future of now & the sparkle that shines behind the wooden doors of tomorrow. Stimulator Jones emulates & simulates the sensational rhythms & blues that informed the fourth quarter of the twentieth century where emotive expressions emerge from the ether & materialize through body moving pop mechanics.
Like a blast from the 1993 past, Stimulator Jones brings the big bombastic lover’s rock with “Need Your Body” that breaks down the needs & wants for something that is felt from deep within. Passions of the personal, emotional, spiritual & carnal are concocted together in a tune made both for moments with the lights down low to drill team choreographed routines. From silk weaved vocals, warm kinetic keys & classic beat percussion highlights how much throwback productions from the 90s, 80s & more continue to shape & re-shape our collective musical connective-consciousness.

Stimulator Jones presented the following insights on the new single:

“Need Your Body” is a straight-forward silky R&B headbanger from my forthcoming full-length LP dropping on Stones Throw in early 2018—written, produced, performed and mixed in an attic deep within the mountains of Roanoke, Virginia.
