Finland icons Shine 2009 returned earlier on in 2017 with the track “D4WYL” that indicated that Helsinki heroes had a brand new bag for a brand new year with inspirations for new tomorrows ripped from Balearic meets Madchester mesmerization. Presenting us with a listen to their new glamorous single “Happy” available now from the esteemed aesthetes over at Cascine, the duo brings about a mixture of melancholy & inspired EU/UK dance pop fusions that are arranged with an adept & meticulous manner that takes every isolated note and iota of audio into serious consideration.
Shine 2009’s “Happy” bridges classic European kinetic pop that has been broadcast from Sweden, Norway, to the UK & more that implores you to “smile don’t be so sad, stop complaining don’t wanna hear that, join the movement, come on let’s get excited.” Everything from the aches & pangs of sadness to the elated feelings of an ineffable brand of ecstasy burst forth from the ether that allows you to let it all go and embrace a new experiential state of feeling. Shine 2009 returns to lift up the spirits of a decidedly depressed world that glimmers & shimmers with a genuine sense that must maybe things will get better and these bastard cycles of entropy will (hopefully) eat themselves. In the duo’s own words on the new single:

The protagonist of Eurozone is back to present his shallow, mechanistic and oppressive views on happiness.
