James Wolfglen presents a debut listen to his EP Bombay Sapphire available today that tackles the down & almost out struggles of drowned sorrows that edifies the road to wellness & the pursuit of dreams. Wolfglen’s confessional EP illustrates the highs and extreme lows of addiction, desires, and what happens when things fall apart. Heralding from the Pacific Northwest, Wolfglen paints portraits of hearts on fire, hearts gone cold, and all the self-destructive things that often get in the way of dreams.

The opening title track “Bombay Sapphire” chronicles the romance with the gin bottle. It follows the connection, obsession and personifies the bottle’s blue glow as a derelict & problematic lover that lets you down every time. James lights the fires of memories and keeps matters hinging on every acoustic strum and resonating string all throughout the two songs on the EP. The narrative finds our troubadour finding redemption in kicking the bottle to the curb on “Hot Rose City Summer” that wrestles with memories of painful nostalgia that measures past losses with the hopes of future gains. “City Summer” sees Wolfglen coming up from air, changing bad habits, while holding tight to first loves that have made impression & difference. Wolfglen shared the following succinct introduction with us on the new EP:

This record is a reflection of partying right up to the edge of death, and the realization that one has reached his 30.
