Cameron Williamson, aka Zenxienz, dropped the single “Cosmic Socks” where the artist brings about a frayed fusion of electronic elements melted together in a dazzling array of sensations and inspirations. Williamson’s latest incarnation post the breakup of his band Paradox Lockdown; the Hawaii by way of Los Angeles artist works to create supernatural & snazzy electro-artifices that defy description and operate according to their own designed metaphysics. “Cosmic Socks” was created in an explosion of consciousness. Once I started, I knew I couldn’t leave until the song was completely arranged. I often start with the synth sound and keep toying until I find the “IT” of the song… The one element that draws everything together. For me, Cosmic Socks pushes the boundaries of my favorite genres by combining unexpected elements from jazz, funk, electronic, hip hop and soul.
