After quite the storied international tour that saw the Weekenders paired with post-punk archdukes Wire, it's good to have them them back in the Bay. When we last checked in with the band, they had blown out the Longbranch Inn's JBLs at the Austin Imposition last March before storming off the stage with that rock n' roll “fuck this” gusto with our photography team chasing after for a bother.Their homecoming gig at the Independent provided all the wattage enough lighting effects to recreate the covers and music videos of your favorite Converse-gazers from 1988-91 right before your eyes.
