Cult Favorite

When you really think about it, crazy people or madmen are looked down upon. Hip-hop duo Elucid and producer A.M. Breakups made an album called For Madmen Only, that treats being mad as an exclusive club.

The duo take on the name, Cult Favorite, and their new album titled, For Madmen Only, is a maddening journey of eclectic trip-hop. The album is getting a digital and vinyl (300 pressings) on the label, Reservoir Sound and is slated to come out this Tuesday, March 5. The duo worked together on Billy Woods latest album, History Will Absolve Me, and Woods and Elucid are also working on a collabortive EP set to come out soon. Elucid and AM started their collab awhile ago and gave a teaser, last year, with a EP of extras from their sessions titled, The Kingdom.

The lead single off the album is titled “For All These Birds”. The track is a noisey, jazz infused track, which features delicate claps and exotic sounds. The beginning of the single opens with some reggae sample and then leads into intricate and crazy raps from Elucid.
