Caged Animals, “Night Dances”

Brooklyn’s pop outfit Caged Animals – comprised of songwriter Vincent Cacchione and his family – is sharing the second track off their forthcoming EP. We’ve got the exclusive premiere of “Night Dances”.

A flowy, slow, synth-pop sound inundates your ears while you patiently await the calming, gorgeous vocals that eventually set in. Magali Charron’s rich vocals are what lead the track, intense in the emotion they evoke. The lyrics match the tone of the song, as they roll through a simple landscape of a steady night dance. “The moon is staying / The kids at home are praying / Your lover’s swaying / And the band is playing / Night dances” make you feel the soft evening wind on your face as you envision yourself partaking in the dance.

“I wrote ‘Night Dances’ for Magali to sing,” explains Cacchione. “This is a romantic song and probably the closest I can come to explaining what the mystery of going through life together feels like for me. I feel so lucky to have Magali’s beautiful voice bring these words to life.”

A full album is expected in early 2017. Keep up with the project here.
