Chaz is so rad. First, he totally set the tone for chillwave, then left it for dead for disco nostalgia. Just when you think you're caught up to his ways, he remixes Cut Copy's “Blink and You'll Miss a Revolution” into a disco meets Ibiza mutation. It's a revival in the sonic equivalency of prescribing Paul Oakenfold ecstasy and Viagra. We cannot think of a more fitting song for Chazzy-boy to remix, considering the fact that blinking will not only mean missing out on a revolution, but losing track of Toro Y Moi's evolution.
The remix is streaming at Modular People, for now, with plans of a 12″ release in late July that will include remixes by Chicken Lips, Das Moth & Kenji Takimi, Tornado Wallace and Henning Furst.
