Over the summer, we featured “Ignorant Ghost,” the standalone single from Brooklyn rockers Darkwing. Now, the band is back in short order with the Super Silver EP. Impose Magazine is excited to host its full premiere today.
Running a gamut of styles, Super Silver accomplishes what any good EP should, showcasing Darkwing’s range from the blistering “Necropants” and “Alley Cat Blues” to the more wistful garage-rock of “Quid Facere.” The split “Vicious / Who U R” oscillates between the best of the band’s hyperspeed punk and fuzzier mid-tempo stylings replete with wonderfully crunchy guitars and brilliant harmonies.
