Dr Orange – “17”

Liverpool garage rocker drops powerful new guitar-driven single

Dr Orange‘s latest single “17” is a guitar-driven track with powerful drums and soaring vocals that showcases his signature sound. The Liverpudlian musician has crafted a layered, harmonious song with distorted electric guitar that packs a punch. Produced by Jon Withnall, known for his work with Coldplay and Rihanna, it’s the first Dr Orange release on Jacaranda Records and his first since 2021.

In “17,” Dr Orange addresses the issue of young people being drawn into far-right politics and the glamorization of it. The song’s message is relevant and timely, and Dr Orange delivers it with conviction. The track has already amassed over 100k streams across all platforms, and it’s easy to see why. “17” is a powerful statement from a musician who has already made a name for himself with five previous singles and sold-out shows. It’s clear that Dr Orange is an artist to watch, and “17” is a strong indication of what’s to come from him in the future.

“’17’ is definitely the strongest release I’ve put out to date and feels like a solid base to start the next chapter of Dr Orange,” he shared. “I wrote the track a couple of years back and felt I’d always know when it was the right time to put it out there. The song’s about young people getting drawn into far-right politics and the glamorisation of it, which I guess is just as relevant today.”
