Flashlight O, “TV Time”

Quinn Moreland

Flashlight O

As the days get longer, the wait until the release of Flashlight O's debut album, The Truman Sho, grows shorter. As we heard before on “Happy Baby Pose”, Baltimore's Colin Alexander knows how to embrace the ordinary.

On his new single “TV Time”, Alexander marvels over the bliss that a tiny moment can provide: “Can I talk with you at all / Does the moment still exist? / Is that glow from me or you?” Music metaphors are in no way my specialty and I think they are automatically cheesy, but what the heck, “TV Time” feels like believing a building is small only to enter and realize how expansive it actually is. The building is so beautiful that you never want to leave.

The Truman Sho drops June 3. Preorder the tape over at Double Double Whammy.
