Future Death, “Space Orphans”

Austin’s avant-garde indie rock collective Future Death – comprised of Ashley Tucker (vocals), Alton Jenkins (drums), Jeremy Humphries (bass), and Bill Kenny (guitar) – is welcoming Ashley as their new lead vocalist with a standalone single. Lucky us, we nabbed the exclusive premiere of “Space Orphans”.

Isn’t it funny how just a few chords can give a feeling to an entire song? From the very beginning, we’re enraptured by the sound coming from the speakers, knowing full well that this song is inspired by the existence of otherworldly beings. We feel as though we’re a part of something bigger, as the percussion comes crashing in and Ashley’s strong vocals join the incredible, loud cacophony of sound. The song hits hard over the majority, and then slowly disintegrates and fades away.

But we want more.
