As the equinox nears we close out another summer and another run of singles courtesy of Adult Swim. The 16 week tradition ends this year with Ka, the Brownsville native, who’s heavy mental lurks in the construct of “Lost Prophet Report”.
Ka’s “The Lost Prophet” is at his despotic mercy. His intricate wordplay commands attention above production that incites the sort of tension John Carpenter brought to the Assault on Precinct 13. For Ka, he’s not in assault mode, but is the man in the high tower looking down on a metropolis that inspires poetry in its ruinous depravity.
