Karman, “LFTF Mix #44”

Post Author:

Karman is the 19 year-old production wunderkind behind the latest installment of LFTF’s curated mix series. And filled with a series of up-tempo remixes and samples from some of the best production talent out there today, there’s truly no fear of pop in this addictive hour-long mix.

Taking bits of everything from Britney’s 2001 Good Morning America interview to Cream Dream’s bootleg of J. Lo’s “Waiting For Tonight” to the DJ Sliink x Nadus remix of Ciara’s “Body Party”, it’s a verifiable time capsule of the past decade in sound.

But what makes it even better are the shout-outs to other contemporary SoundCloud favorites like Dubbel Dutch, Suicideyear and L Vis 1990. What’s even more surprising is how smoothly he blends these bangers together, as he somehow manages to seamlessly integrate see-saw synths, shimmering strings, and everyone from Jersey club to Keysound Records staples. And yes, “Rice Rain” is in there too.
