Genre-bending outfit Leather Can – by brainchild Bastien Vandevelde of Beastie Vee fame – has a new, gothic sounding track to impress us today. “Bleach & Fur” floats around the sound space with a dance rock vibe and a beat that does its best to induce head bobbing. While the vocals are dark and brooding, there isn’t much variety to the lyrics, which makes this track all the more paramount in its composition.
The fact that the entire Hum album was made in just five short days in Paris last fall is absolutely incredible. Inspired specifically by the John Lennon song “Well Well Well”, Vandevelde took the feeling that came to him in the inflection of that song and ran with it. We are big fans of this track, and can’t wait to find out what’s to come.
