Washington D.C. collective the Low Budget Crew show their holiday spirit with a free Christmas themed beat tape.
The Low Budget collective runs deep with crew members like Kev Brown and Diamond District's Odissee being two of its most known members. Some might recall Kev Brown as the originator of The Black Album remix projects, with his The Brown Album – before all that Grey Album hoop-la.
Compiled by Kev Brown, Roddy Rod and Kaimbr, The Low Budget Christmas EP is 14 beats of holiday cheer. Most notably is the sensuous and soulful winter warmer featuring Tanzania titled “Christmas Wish.” While most of the contributions are beats with Christmas themes and samples, “Christmas Wish” is a charming R&B song about using that one wish to get your significant other back.
