Nas' Lost Tapes Two

Back in September Nas tweeted that Lost Tapes 2 was on the way and that he was cruising along the coast line bumping his own shit, which inspires jealousy if it was Highway 1 and contempt if it was somewhere in Jersey.

To whet our appetite for the next Lost Tapes record a few gems have surfaced, a Source freestyle from '96 and “Courthouse”, which is sonically similar to his Jay-Z collab “Success” with an appropriate Chuck D sample tagged on for good measure. You can't pawn shit past a Nas fan boy though. It did not take long for “Courthouse” to be dispelled as just some well-fashioned verse jacking. The first verse was taken from “Be a Nigger Too” and the second verse is from “Like Me”. Nonetheless, lets hope “Courthouse” is somehow connected to the direction of his next record as it's rare that Nas' beat selection is a meddling dilemma.

The Source freestyle is a vintage session with Kid Capri from the Nas Is Coming promo before It Was Written was released.

No word yet on the release of Lost Tapes 2, but rumor has it Swizz Beatz, DJ Premier, Alchemist, Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Bangladesh and RZA are contributing to the record.
